Directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), this story of extravagance and longing features choreography by Dominique Kelley (So You Think You Can Dance), a book by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones) and a jazz and pop-influenced original score by Jason Howland (Little Women) and Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square).

A '20's extravaganza! The show is fantastic. It transports you back into 1920's America with all the glitz and glamour of the era. The sets are stunning and the costumes are fantastic.

Fine for 1 time but would NOT go again Go see it if you haven’t seen the movie. If you seen the movie and have something to compare to, not worth it.

Great performances Good show with powerful lead singers.
Good story line and dramatic ending.
Only criticism we both found sometimes the spoken dialogue (American accents) were difficult to understand.
Apart from that a great show.

Fabulous! This show was excellent and a delight throughout. The music and singing were exceptional, the stage and scenes incredible, and the acting and performance exact and extremely well delivered throughout. Wow, I would watch this production again.

Adult entertainment My friends and I enjoyed the show vey much. Great voices, well fitting costumes and dance excellent .
For me, just a little sad. As it can be with life. But, I say may cause too many questions if with very young children

Entertaining Show based on a classic nivel I enjoyed the show because it was colourful, full of energy and brilliantly staged. I was a bit disappointed with the songs though. I didn't find any of them memorable and the singing was so loud and strident that at times it was just noise. Daisy seemed to be off-key at times.

Excellent Show! 'The Great Gatsby' is an amazing show - I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good show, alongside some lovely music tracks and amazing settings! It was an absolute pleasure to watch and my friends and I were fully immersed throughout the whole show. The storyline is also amazing and the plot will impress you!

Sumptuous sets and costumes A very classy production - spectacular sets lighting and special effects, and costumes. Very good acting and choreography. Largely suitable for all she's particularly as the car crash is not too graphic.

Brilliant-more than I had wished for loved the book and original movie (Robert Redford as Gatsby and Mia Farrow as Daisy) wasnt sure what to expect from the musical version

All so very beautiful The stage set and costumes were stunning. The performers very talented and told the story very well (I didnt previously know the story and followed easily)
The live orchestra gave me goosebumps and lumps in my throat. The building is stunning. Also the cast made time for the fans outside after the show which was a huge deal for my son.

A spectacle not to be missed. The stage production of The Great Gatsby lived up to my personal expectations. Fitzgerald's novel is beautiful literature and quite frankly, adaptations of this seminal work have a lot to live up to. This stage production was true to the story and I found myself riveted throughout. I was very glad to have seen it.

Jazz element missing When deciding to see this show I was hoping to be presented with a dazzling event of loaded with jazz and fast music and dance, matching the period the musical was meant to play. Regretfully this only rarely happened and while the actors clearly showed their great skills it felt somewhat boring at times. I have seen lots of musicals and this one regretfully ranked one of my least favourite.

Fabulous version of the novel. Exciting and Engaging! If you like a strong storyline, good singing and vibrant dancing this is a musical for you. It represents the story of the novel in a creative way without altering the storyline.
The sets were extremely stunning throughout.

An original musical The Great Gatsby is an original interpretation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel. It has a spectacular set evoking that amazing art deco era. Jamie Mescato, the lead actor, has a wonderful singing voice and is well supported by Frances McCann and excellent ensemble of dancers and singers. .

Great dancing, costumes and set. Well known story, the costumes, set and dancing was excellent. The music was a bit repetitive I felt , was expecting more of a jazzy sound. An enjoyable show however and glad I got to experience it.

Visual delight Beautiful to look at but an inconsistent score. At points it felt like an imitation of Wicked or one of those Disney cartoons that are popular at the moment. Some songs are formulaic as if written by AI although the performers where great. I didn’t care for the oral gymnastics or the enormous volume or the sustain on some of the notes - it’s not a contest it’s an entertainment. However, I had cheap seats and this was a really great value for money seat and a great big show experience in a tremendous theatre.

Disney does Gatsby. There is just too must Disney-style music and not enough jazz, or speakeasy scenes. Plot is fine, but final 10 minutes could be extended, slowed down and the drama built more slowly.

Great show Loved the sets, clever and realistic. Good acting and great voices. Fairly fast pace considering a lot of it was a love story. Be prepared for an unexpected ending!

Interesting take on a classic tale Came across this show by chance and booked two tickets 30 minutes before for show time. I quite enjoyed the show, and had I had more time i would have probably worn 20s style clothing as per the advice given by the theatre.
The show is interesting as you get to follow the actors into other rooms, however you need to position yourself accordingly as only a few at a time are allowed to move to another room, thus if you are unlucky enough to miss any of the acts in the adjacent rooms, the show will likely feel monotonous and stale.

Wonderful, fun experience Definitely a show for adults. Super acting. The ways that the audience is involved are really clever and don’t leave anybody feeling uncomfortable or awkward - you can participate as much or little as you like. Definitely fun to dress up. My husband and I really enjoyed the party!

Just a fantastic night out! Get dressed up and it makes the night so much more fun. Even the bar staff don't break character. I felt fully immersed and a character of the story!!! Best night out!!! Can't recommend enough!

Quite an experience! I'd read some very contrasting reviews. We followed the advice of watching the film/re-reading the plot beforehand, which really helped (and were prepared for the fact that the venue really does get quite warm). We really enjoyed it. But the key is probably to throw yourself into it. We dressed up 1920s style, joined in the dancing/singing, even had a go at US accents. Its a mash up of theatre, improv, cabaret etc. Its true that there are parts with shouting. parts where you can't here every word, and because action is split between various rooms inevitably there's elements of plot you'll miss. But just accept that and don't expect it to be like a regular theatre outing. I went with three 18-25 year olds all of whom thoroughly enjoyed it. But the trick is to not be a wallflower. If you're the sort who enjoys the Edinburgh Fringe, you'll enjoy this.

Fun at Gatsby’s Mansion! Overall, it was a great experience and we got a brilliant deal on the ticket price!!
1. Set - Good 2. Cast - Great 3. Immersive experience - Great 4. Lighting - Good 5. Music - Poor
Firstly, I would definitely recommend this show to everyone! It thoroughly deserves to be fully supported. I do feel there are areas for improvement however and would love to see the following happen: A slightly bigger cast with more and improved choreography when not interacting with audience and more solo and chorus singing. A live jazz band in the main reception room is a must for me and would bring the entire show to life! I say definitely dress for the occasion and go all out, it’s a fantastic few hours of total escapism and you will be thoroughly entertained. This was a first for all 4 of us (3 are avid theatre goers) and we were not disappointed!

Best show ever! I do enjoy going to the theatre, but this immersive experience was amazing! I absolutely loved it! The actors were great! And obviously Gatsby's story is unique. Being involved in the show made it incredible! Plus the decors were awesome. Totally recommend. This is the future of theatre!
